When a patient is unhappy with the results of a previous breast augmentation due to implant size or shape, breast revision with implant replacement is usually required. The new implants need to be carefully selected to achieve the aesthetic goal. Dr. Pfeifer is known for exercising special care to selecting the best implant for each and every patient. This is important in all revision surgeries and especially important for patients with breast asymmetry and/or tuberous breast.
“Excellent surgeon. Kind compassionate.. a true artist. Did revision surgery on a disastrous simple augmentation from another surgeon. She had to rebuild the pocket and replace the implants that had migrated to my collarbone. A 7.5 hour surgery and the results are phenomenal. If you need revision surgery , look no further. Called me every night from her own cell phone and took my calls at 3 am post op. Not only a talented surgeon, but an amazing human being. 5 Stars”

Capsular contracture is one of the most common complications of breast augmentation with implants. It can result in distorted, sometimes hard and painful breasts. Dr. Pfeifer performs surgical treatment for severe capsular contracture.
Patients may need a breast revision due to leaking or ruptured silicone implants – in most cases due to folding of the implant leading to thinning of the shell or from instrument damage during the initial placement procedure.
